Graduate research assistant
Kansas State University
Manhattan, Kansas
Born and raised in Colombia, I obtained my bachelor's degree in animal science at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where I also got the chance to come to the USA for an internship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign working in Dr. Stein's Monogastric Nutrition Laboratory. Once I was done, I had the amazing opportunity to start my master's program in Swine Nutrition with Dr. Stein as my advisor. After finishing, I worked for Keys Manufacturing Inc as a customer support and sales representative for two years. Finally, I decided to go back to grad school, and I had the amazing opportunity to start my Ph.D. program at Kansas State University under the guidance of Dr. Chad Paulk, where I will be working to determine the effects of feed processing on the digestibility of nutrients of diets fed to growing pigs.
